Shining light on strengths is a hallmark of my practice. It is so easy to focus on problems and perceived deficits, but when we instead choose to explore our strengths, it becomes easier to see obstacles in a solution-focused way. This helps people recognize their power and agency. I love to support clients on a journey of self-discovery and transformation by providing a caring, safe space to explore.

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker in the state of Connecticut. I received my Master of Social Work from Fordham University’s Graduate School of Social Services, where I graduated with Honors. My undergraduate degree is from University of Connecticut, where I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies.

I am currently training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which is understanding how thoughts impact mood and behaviors, and recognizing how challenging thoughts can lead to more positive outcomes. Managing negative or inaccurate thoughts frees us to see a situation more objectively and to manage it more effectively.

I work with adolescent and adult individuals, providing therapy for depression, anxiety, self-esteem, executive functioning skills, and substance use disorders.

When I am not counseling, I can usually be found walking in the woods, climbing a mountain, or paddling down a river with my kids and my two dogs, Miki and Eloise. I find that nature is full of amazing lessons about perseverance, resilience, patience, and healing, and is a wonderful way to manage day-to-day stress.
